Operational Data Store
Overview
OCIO manages Ohio State's Operational Data Store (ODS). The ODS is a set of relational databases updated nightly with data from campus administrative systems relating to students, personnel, financial aid, admissions, and the Billing and Accounts Receivable System (BARS).
The ODS should be used when you need history overlaid with current information, current or near-current data or operational data like a list of email addresses.
What's Included
The OCIO provides the following as part of its Data Warehouse Services:
- Regular data maintenance and nightly updates
- Manages access to ODS by approved users
- Maintains ODS documentation

There is currently no charge for use of this service.
Eligibility
OSU faculty and staff with appropriate approval and access with access to eReports or direct access to the ODS
How To Order
The ODS accommodates access through the eReports portal. eReports access may be restricted to certain users. For more information about eReports, visit: eReports ASSIST.
