IT Service Support (8-HELP)

 

Overview

OCIO offers various options for obtaining assistance with OCIO provided services. Whether by phone, online self-service, or in person, our IT Service Support Team can assist you with a service issue, service request, and general questions regarding OCIO services.

What's Included

Customers are encouraged to utilize any of the following IT Service Support options:

  • Phone support (also known as 8help)

  • Online Self-Service

  • Walk-in Support provides assistance with:

    • Email and wireless accounts
    • Site-Licensed software
    • Identity Maintenance
    • Classroom Services Support
    • Cellular phones for business use

Optional Features

The BuckeyeBar offers face-to-face technology consultation and related services to current OSU faculty, staff and students. BuckeyeBar staff will be glad to answer your questions about everything from the right PDA to buy, how to get an Internet connection, or how best to take advantage of OSU IT resources; to laptop connection problems and virus issues.

How To Order

The IT Service Support team can be contacted:

  • By Phone: 614-688-4357 (8-4357 from a campus telephone)
  •  

  • Online through our Self-Service Portal (your OSU Internet Username and Password are required to log into the system)
  •  

  • In person through walk-in support at 025 Central Classroom building
  •  

  • The BuckeyeBar is located at Room 60A (in the west wing) of the Thompson Library. Staff will assist customers during its scheduled business hours (see Special Considerations below)
