  • Leader of the implementation for PeopleSoft Human Resources and Finance at the largest university in the United States
  • Leader of the first Statewide Disaster Recovery Program for the 14 Ohio Public Universities

Senior Director, Office of Information Technology (OIT)
The Ohio State University, 2005 - Present

Administers the Telecommunications, Networking and Operations workgroups, representing a total of 180 staff, 25,000 phone lines, Campus Cable TV, Cellular phones, double redundant 10 gig fiber network backbone, a 5,000 access point wireless network and two data centers for 15 mission critical systems and numerous hosted departmental and college systems with a $27 million annual budget.

Director of Operations, Office of Information Technology (OIT)
The Ohio State University, 2000 – 2005

Directed the Operations area of OIT, with a staff of 69 and responsible for 7x24 mainframe and client server systems support, academic and administrative processing support, and a $13 million annual operating budget.

Director, Administrative Resource Management Systems (A.R.M.S.) Project
The Ohio State University, 1994 - 2000

Directed the $84 million A.R.M.S. Project to replace the University Accounting System (FAS) and implemented a new PeopleSoft-based Human Resources, Payroll and Benefit Systems. These systems supported over 31,000 Ohio State employees and $3.6 billion in annual funds and revenues.

Assistant Vice President, Agriculture Administration
            The Ohio State University, 1988 – 1994

Directed the fiscal, human resource and farm responsibilities for the Agriculture Administration, administered a $114 million operating budget, a $46 million endowment, 14,000 acres of farmland and 1,600 employees.

 

Director, Ohio Unions
            The Ohio State University, 1983-1988

Associate Director, Ohio Unions
            The Ohio State University, 1979 - 1983

Served as Associate Director and the Director of Ohio State’s Ohio Unions, the university’s community centers for 78,000 students, faculty and staff; Administered and managed 400 employees, 332,000 square feet of facilities, 24,500 annual event reservations, and a budget of $6.3 million.

Supervisor, Agriculture and Home Economics
            Wayne County Joint Vocational School, Smithville, Ohio, 1976-1979

Administered and managed 24 agricultural and home economics programs for 675 students in 12 different school districts covering 460 square miles.

Coordinator, Farm Business Planning and Analysis
            Wayne County Career Center, Smithville, Ohio, 1973-1976

Served as a financial consultant to 75 farms providing instruction for sound financial and business practices, with a gross income of client farms ranging from $100,000 to $2.5 million.
