Apple Offers Mac OS X System Administrator Certification

Apple Computer invites campus system administrators, network engineers and analysts, or any Mac OS X savvy individual to take the new System Administration of Mac OS X Clients and System Administration Using Mac OS X Server courses and become certified as an Apple Certified System Administrator. System Administration of Mac OS X Clients v. 10.3 is a five-day course that provides students with the skills, tools, and knowledge to implement, integrate, and maintain Mac OS X in a multiplatform environment. Students learn how to implement and integrate solutions that are based on or include Mac OS X, and take into account systems using Windows and UNIX. The course is offered Oct. 25-29, 9 a.m. to 5 pm, and is discount priced at $1,969 per participant. System Administration Using Mac OS X Server v. 10.3 is a five-day course that focuses on planning, security, and interoperability with multiple operating systems. In addition to using Mac OS X Server to provide services to multiple clients, students learn how to seamlessly integrate Mac OS X Server with other servers. Students also learn how to effectively plan and easily implement a Mac OS X Server deployment that considers a pre-existing network environment. The course is offered Nov. 1-5, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is discount priced at $1,969 per participant. Both classes will be held in 345 Central Classroom Building, 2009 Millikin Rd.
