The Chief Information Officer reports to the Provost and will be a member of the President's Council. The CIO will provide leadership of Information Technology (IT) strategies, programs and organizations for one of the world's largest universities. This outstanding, experienced individual will oversee strategic visioning and planning, and the implementation of action plans that encompass and advance all aspects of IT campus-wide.
The successful candidate must have a demonstrable understanding of the use and application of computing and information technologies within a research university including experience in academic technology planning and cognizance of the strategic issues facing these universities over the next five to ten years. The candidate must demonstrate her/his understanding of and experience in managing the application of technology in support of instruction, research, communications, and administrative systems. Candidates should have an advanced degree and a minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible senior administrative experience in information technology.
